Project This Little Light

This Little Light is the non-profit sector of The Rustic House. We raise money to help make the world a better place through global education and community development.

Rising Minds

Rising Minds is a Guatemala-based non-profit that aids local communities by providing insight on sustainability practices, education, gardening, nutrition and health training. In addition to selling candles year round ($12 of each $24 candle is donated to the non-profit), The Rustic House also coordinates an annual Rising Minds Practice in Action Service Trip where staff and other Chattanooga locals travel to Guatemala for a hands-on helping experience with the communities we work to support. 

Dare for More

Dare For More is a non-profit based in Red Bank, Tennessee that establishes safe houses to protect young girls from sex trafficking in the Dominican Republic.  We just recently began working with Dare For More and our current project is to build fences around the safe houses and a play area for the girls within the fenced yard.

Humane Educational Society

Humane Educational Society is the newest addition to the This Little Light campaign. The mission of the HES is to provide a safe haven for homeless, injured, abused and neglected animals in the Chattanooga community and advocate on their behalf. As all of The Rustic House staff are animal lovers, it was an easy decision to begin working with this local non-profit to improve the lives of pets in need. Special thanks to McCain Design (Signal Mountain, TN) for providing artwork which has also been featured on the state of Tennessee's Animal Friendly License Plate.

All in all, The Rustic House not only produces high-quality candles, but aspires to make a difference in the world as well. This Little Light is enabling them to do just that.
